Actions aimed at ecosystem restoration
Contract with the Government of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina – Colombia, for the Implementation of Actions aimed at the ecosystem restoration of the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve – RBSF, actions that seek ecological recovery, to guarantee the supply of ecosystem services, such as carbon capture, coastal protection against storms by its extensive reefs, provision of food (artisanal fishing) and conservation of biodiversity.
Actions:
- Seabed cleanup to remove submerged solid waste (SSD) under the Project AWARE protocol.
- Coastal area cleanup.
- Coral planting.
- Environmental education talks on the conservation of the RBSF.
